An Offer They Can't Refuse
Don't worry, you don't have to be the Godfather to make an offer someone can't refuse. This sales booster can be summed up in one word . . . guarantee.A rock solid guarantee will increase your sales, but there's something many entrepreneurs don't know . . . if you offer a good product at a fair price, you'll hardly ever get a refund request! In fact, I created and sold many products before I retired, and with many of my products I never had a single refund request!
Potential customers will feel more confident buying from you when you reverse the risk by offering a solid money-back guarantee, especially if it's an unconditional money-back guarantee.
And the longer you give them to ask for a refund, the better. It not only boosts sales, but it reduces the likelihood even more that someone will ask for a refund. When they know they have plenty of time, they often take plenty of time, and as more time passes the less likely they are to ask for a refund.
I recommend this to anyone selling online, but I'd be remiss if I didn't include this one warning—in the "make money online" niche, the refund rate is much higher than normal. This is often due to the marketer making fantastic promises that the product can't deliver.
Let me illustrate that point. Below are three real headlines posted on a popular forum (at the time of this writing) where marketers can offer their products to the public for a fee of $40 for about 3-4 hours of front page exposure:
- Make Over $16,479.20 Every Single Month On 100% Autopilot
- 465 Dollars In 4 Hours
- $20,965+ A Month!? – No Traffic, No CPA, No SEO Just 1 Little WordPress Website
Those vendors are selling empty dreams. It's logical their refund requests would be high.
No one can deliver on promises like those if for no other reason than you can't make lazy people work, and folks buying those dreams are looking for a magic button to push for instant wealth. The vendors do make some money . . . mostly from people who are too embarrassed to ask for a refund.
If you keep your sales page realistic and honest, you should be well-served offering an iron-clad guarantee.
